For those of you who participate in this fairly ridiculous tradition, savor the fleeting moments of sleep you get tonight, and try not to miss things by roughly an hour in the morning. Makes you look silly. In the mean time, have a Scirocco.

Also, someone buy this before I do.

I was worried I forgot then, but ours (U.K.) change on the 29th of march, also I'm off work for the next eight nights so there is that also. :)

Curious that Canada and America change on the second sunday of march, Greenland does it on the saturday before the last sunday of march, Europe on the last sunday of march and Mexico on the first sunday of april. Strange.

I owned one of those, in that color, too! Lots of fun and light on its feet, but a little high maintenance. I drove mine all over the place before I parted with it.

Ours just ended in Brazil, but I wish it was the regular time, not the savings time. Savings time is awesome, you get to leave college 8 pm and it's still sunny outside, and peopke stay out longer, and you can go home and not worry as much about being robbed or kidnapped. Plus, when you stay in college for over 12 hours, seeing the sun is a real treat.

Just out of curiosity, how high maintenance?

America refuses to abide by any standard measures or even for time!

I am in college as well, but weather precludes any having fun outside at this time of year.

Well, I was religious about the maintenance, but something would just break fairly regularly. And parts were surprisingly expensive, so even if I'd had a good independent shop it would still not have been cheap.

I'm talking about stuff like electrical gremlins, window regulators, fuel pumps, CV joints, things like that. You just had to factor all those in as "wear items," because they went pretty frequently. It didn't leave me stranded often, but once in a while.

That said, the thing only weighed something like 2200 pounds I think. Compared to most modern cars it felt like a go-cart, but in the end I was driving my other car more so I let it go.

That doesn't sound too ridiculous, although window regulators and electrical gadgets being wear items seems a little excessive. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge a lot!

Yeah, it was just a little irritating that they never seemed to improve, you were just putting in new copies of the same old part, so you knew it was only going to last so long...

But like I said, it was a lot of fun. Steering was a little numb, but other than that a blast.

And, you're very welcome! That's what this place should be about. :-)
